2007 Odebolt-Arthur Music Department
Trip to New York City

On Wednesday, May 23, 2007, fifty-eight Odebolt-Arthur music students and thirty adults boarded chartered buses and headed for New York City.  They left the school at 11:00 a.m. and traveled through the night until the reached the Big Apple.  They enjoyed visits to the United Nations Headquarters, Lincoln Center, Central Park, Rockefeller Plaza, Liberty State Park, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, Battery Park, the Empire State Building and Chinatown.

They had a great spot on the CBS Early Saturday show and were treated to special dining and dance lessons at the Swing 46 Club. One evening the group dined at the Hard Rock Cafe, shopped in Times Square and enjoyed a performance of "Phantom of the Opera" at the great Majestic Theatre!  The tour ended with an evening visit to ground zero.

We would like to thank everyone who donated time, money and supplies to help make this trip a reality!  Special thanks to Thrivent for Lutherans for their support.
