Odebolt and Odebolt-Arthur All-School Reunion to be held the evening of June 20th, 2008
Plans are being made for the all-school banquet and program for alumni of Odebolt High School and Odebolt-Arthur High School.
This event will be held in conjunction with the annual Creek Days Celebration on June 21 and 22, 2008.

Banquet at 5:00 p.m. - Program starting at 7:30 p.m.
The banquets and program will be on Friday, June 20th at the Odebolt-Arthur High School. A catered dinner is planned from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by the program at 7:30 p.m.  Charlie Downing will deliver the invocation.  Entertainment plans are in the works! Food will be catered by Lidderdale Catering.  We hope to have you join us!

Odebolt-Arthur Alumni Band- Practice at 6:15 p.m.  We need more band members!
If you are interested in offering your talents in the Alumni Band, please indicate on your reservation what instrument you will be playing and if you will need an instrument. You may contact Laurie Currie, band director at lcurrie@odebolt-arthur.k12.ia.us .  Practice will be at 6:15 p.m. on June 20th in the O-A band room.

Odebolt-Arthur Education Foundation Plans
Plans are currently underway to form an Odebolt-Arthur (OA) Education Foundation as an ongoing means to preserve and enhance the OA school district. This foundation will provide resources for advancements in the district's academic programs as well as opportunities for our students.
     Alumni, parents, staff and community members can make an impact through annual gifts, major gifts, memorials, planned giving, and estate planning. More information will be available soon and will be posted on the Odebotl-Arthur website at www.odebolt-arthur.net. There you will also find a link to confirm or update your current contact information.

Memorial Walk Park News
     Greetings from the Memorial Walk Park Board.
     First, an update:  Sales of sidewalk plaques ($300) have been going at a steady pace.  They should be sold out in another year or so.  There are still a few benches ($800) left.  Also a number of tree plaques ($150) are available.
     Our RV Park is up and running with 8 electrical hookups & 6 water hookups.  Call City Hall at 712-668-2231 if you would like a reservation.  Remember there are limited spaces available.

Alumni, please update your address if you wish to receive notices for the All-School Reunions.  If you are aware of any O-A graduate whose address has changed over the past years, or are parents of children who have been in college and now have permanent addresses, please contact Carol Auen, school Business Manager, with updated information.  Many of the classes use this database for reunions and sometimes requests come in just to get in touch with other alumni. PLANNING A CLASS REUNION?

Meeting space can be arranged at the Community Center, the meeting room at the Odebolt Public Library, CoBe's Bar & Grill, Caroll's Kitchen, the Prairie Pedlar grounds, or contact City Hall for space at Odebolt park shelters.  Camping is available at the RV Park in Memorial Walk Park. If you are coming from out-of-town, you can reserve lodging IN Odebolt at Hattie Grace Boarding House, or at "Traveler's Inn" located in Meyer Apartments (the old hotel).  Read about where to stay while you are in Odebolt.

Odebolt and Odebolt-Arthur All-School Reunion will be held on Friday evening, June 20th, 2008 during the Creek Days weekend.  It is held every three years.  (see above info)

St. Martin's 130th Celebration & All-School Reunion, Sunday, June 22nd
     Thank you to those of you that responded to our request for feedback on having a reunion to celebrate the 130th Anniversary of our parish in 2008 instead of 2007.
     Former Students and Parishioners of St Martin Church and school are invited to come back for a reunion and celebration during the Odebolt Creek Days weekend. We will celebrate Mass at 10:00 on Sun. June 22nd, followed by a lunch at 11:30.
     All classes will have an opportunity to meet and visit, share stories and get reacquainted with the present families still attending St. Martin church .

Class of 1948 will hold its 60th class reunion on Saturday, June 21st, 8:00 pm at the East End on Black Hawk Lake, Lake View

Class of 1950 will meet at the Odebolt Community Center after the Friday evening Alumni program on June 20th.

Class of 1953 will meet Saturday evening, June 21st at the Hayeloft in Wall Lake.  Cocktails at 5 pm and dinner at 6 pm.

Class of 1955 will hold an "off-year" (53rd) reunion on the Creek Days weekend.  We will meet for a social hour and dinner at Boz Welz in Ida Grove on Saturday evening, June 21. - Chuck Mandernach

Class of 1964 - Ron and Jeanie Grove will host the Class of '64 in Battle Creek on the evening of Saturday, June 21, 2008.  Watch this space for further details in the spring.

Class of 1968 will celebrate their 40th Class Reunion the evening of June 21st at BozWellz in Ida Grove (Changed to The Country Inn in Lake View, Iowa.)  The reunion will start at 6:30 p.m. and the meal will be served at 7:30 p.m.

Class of 1972 will hold a reunion in 2008 in conjunction with the all school reunion / Creek Days weekend.

Class of 1973 Reunion 35 years! 
August 2nd, 2008; 6:00 pm at the Prairie Pedlar Garden: 1609 270th Street; Odebolt.  Meal will be catered by Lidderdale Country Store.  Cost: $15 per person.  Enjoy a relaxing evening socializing with old friends. The Class of 1978 Reunion will be held at Kurt Carstensen's farm. 2632 Dean Ave. Odebolt. Saturday June 21st 6 pm.  Grills, condiments, silver etc as well as beer water coffee and pop provided. Bring meat to grill, a side dish, lawn chairs, blanket and anything that fits in the "other" category of drinks. 10 dollars per person at the event. Invites via email went out May 4th.
