Odebolt City Park
Located on Park Avenue between 5th and 6th
Streets, the park was formed in 1881 when the railroad donated a
block of land to the city. Majestic trees provide an almost
constant cool canopy on a hot day.
The park was once named Hanson Park after Henry
Hanson, an early resident who was encouraged planting of trees in
Odebolt, and donated many trees to the park,
The pillars at the northwest entrance date
from 1911.

New playground equipment, October 2010
 |
The Chronicle 10/14/10 - New playground
equipment was purchased by the City of Odebolt from the Lytton
School District. The large structure was dismantled and
re-constructed at its new location by workers from the North Central
Correctional Facility, city employees and community volunteers. City
Councilman Todd Bengford spearheaded this project and is pleased to
see the end result, smiling faces.
Considerable work has also been completed on the
park in 2010 by the Odebolt Betterment Committee. Visit
their blog to see descriptions and photos of landscaping and
building/structure improvements.
