Creek Days weekend is always a great
time to catch up with old friends or enjoy a summer
weekend with family, but it’s also a great opportunity
to support your community.
Since 1999, the Odebolt Development
Corporation has donated more than $35,000 to local
projects such as the Odebolt Community Center, the pool,
cemetery, museum, tennis courts, the Odebolt sign
project, the O-A Education Foundation, as well as many
local emergency services and youth groups.
All of these funds were raised at Creek Days, so when
you buy your Creek Days t-shirts or tickets to Creek
Days events, when you donate your money to support Creek
Days or donate your time to volunteer at Creek Days, you
are contributing to your community!
HISTORY SITES TO BE OPEN
ON CREEK DAYS WEEKEND
Iowa Rural Schools
Museum, housed by the Richland #1 rural school house
in downtown Odebolt will hold GRAND OPENING CEREMONIES
on June 15th at 10:30 a.m. followed by an OPEN HOUSE
until 4 pm. They will also be open Sunday afternoon
1-4pm
Odebolt Museum will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4
p.m. on Saturday, June 15 and from1:00 to 4:00 pm on
Sunday, June 16th.
Peterson Pioneer Home will be open from 9:00 a.m.
to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 15 and from1:00 to 4:00 pm
on Sunday, June 16th.
The Adams Ranch Room at First State Bank will be
open from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on July 15, 2013.

The ODC would like
to thank everyone who made this
year’s “Kickin It Old School” Creek
Days a success. Thank you to all who
volunteered to work; to those who
generously contributed a monetary
donation to sponsor t-shirts; to
those who loaned us equipment,
picnic tables, bleachers, or
property for our events; to the fire
department, to the City of Odebolt
for their support and cooperation;
to the Odebolt Community Center
board for use of the beautiful
facilities; to those whom were not
on the Odebolt Development
Corporation but helped set up and
tear down , and to odebolt.net and
local newspapers for all of their
help with publicity.
We want to thank the Odebolt
Betterment Committee for putting on
the breakfast this year. We want to
also thank all the vendors who
helped come and make our celebration
a little more festive! Our parade
coordinator Lisa Pierce, and our
beer garden coordinators Ron & Jenny
Sorensen also deserve a very special
thank you; they make Creek Days
possible. Finally, thanks to
everyone who attended; we hope to
see you all back next year!

team to feel free to do so. You can

completed their final year on the
board. Without board members Creek
Days won’t be possible. Please

THEME This year's Creek Days theme is going to
be "Kickin It Old School".
MR. & MISS CREEK DAYS
Buckets to cast your vote for for Mr. and Miss Creek
Days have been placed at Sparky's, Cubby's, Swanson
Insurance and Shear Magic. Be sure to vote for your
favorite!
 T-SHIRTS
Pictured on right (click the image to enlarge it) is the
Official Creek Days t-shirt. It will be available at the
end of May. You may get them in Lime Green or White.
($12 for YM-XL) or $14 (XXL-XXXL). You may purchase them
at Iowa State Bank, First State Bank, and United Bank of
Iowa.
CAR
& MOTORCYCLE SHOW
A FREE "Show & Shine" Car and Motorcycle show will be held
June 15, 2013 located at Willow and 4th Streets in
Odebolt. Registration is 9:00 a.m. to noon. There is no
registration fee. Trophies
will be awarded at 2:30 p.m. There will also be door
prizes.

PARADE ENTRIES This
year's Creek Days theme is going to be "Kickin It Old School". Dress up and/or decorate your
floats for the parade the way you would have when you
were in school. Get creative people! Those who wish to have a float or
entry in the Odebolt Creek Days Parade please contact
Lisa Pierce at 712-369-1706. Time for the parade will be
1:00 p.m. on June 15.
VENDOR FAIR A
vendor fair will be set up on the corner of Main Street &
2nd Street. The cost is $20.00 and we will not be asking
for a percentage of your sales. YOU MUST REGISTER IN
ADVANCE if you are interested. Your product needs to be
approved by the committee. Contact us through our facebook page
or send email to : wilke54@hotmail.com if you
are interested in being a vendor. You bring your own
tables / tents / accessories.
Sample application
3-on-3 Tournament
8:00 a.m. Saturday June 15 at the basketball courts
on the west side of the Odebolt School. To sign up
please contact Jade at 712-371-2940, jgodbersen@gmail.com.
Cost per team is $20.00. Deadline is June 14th.
Divisions: Elementary, Middle School, High School, and
Adult. 4 players per team.
Sand Volleyball 2
pm near Community Center. Need people to get teams put
together -- $50 entry. A team must have 8 people, 2 of
which have to be girls. Full cash payout on winning
team, double elimination unless we have an enormous
amount of teams. Starts after the parade. Contact John
Fertig or Noodle to sign up. .hope to see you there.
Car & Motorcycle Show
Registration 9 a.m. to Noon - no entry fee. Trophies
awarded at 2:30 p.m. Located at Willow and 4th in

Truck Show No entry
fee! All trucks welcome. Participation Plaques & Prizes.
Sign in time 8:00 a.m. to Noon. No Judging, just show
your rig! Contact Curtis Mentzer at 712-369-1000
Antique Tractor Show Sign
in time is 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Monument Circle. No
entry fees, no judging, all tractors welcome!
Participants are welcome to participate in the parade at
1:00 p.m. and the tractor ride to Boyer following the
parade.
