Photos - March 2007 Blizzard in Odebolt

Odebolt received up to 20 inches of snow, whipped by winds into towering drifts in early March, 2007.  Here is an excerpt of a radio news report from March 2nd.

"Travel is still not advised across a large portion of Iowa following Thursday's crippling blizzard that brought some areas of the state 20-inches of snow. Strong winds, with gusts approaching 60 miles an hour, are whipping drifts over roads up to eight-feet high. Iowa State Troopers recommend not trying to drive unless absolutely necessary."

The winds continued into Saturday afternoon, March 3rd, when things finally settled down.
