Jamboree Foods is a locally-owned grocery store,
operated by Rob and Cindy Germann. The Germanns and the Jamboree
employees are proud of the store's friendly service, fresh meat and
fresh produce. They keep the shelves well-stocked with a wide
variety of products. One of the benefits of being a small-town grocery store is that they
know their customers and strive to please them.
Rob operates the meat department, while Cindy manages
the paperwork side of the operation, as well as produce, grocery, and
dairy departments. Employees in the store are Deb Reinhart, Jill
Sorensen, Jalee Everetts,
Bryant Harms, Chase Gunderson and Kelli Sorensen. The store orders from Affiliated Foods
warehouse out of Norfolk, NE.
History - Rob and Cindy Germann moved to the area in 1996,
purchasing the grocery store in Wall Lake, Iowa. In May 1998
they also purchased the Odebolt Super Value, which had been owned and
operated by Dick Hoelscher from 1963 until 1998. They
changed the name to Jamboree Foods and are in their 7th year of
business in Odebolt.
Home and Family -
Rob and Cindy are active
on church boards, in Sunday school, and belong to the Chamber of Commerce in both
Odebolt and Wall Lake. Rob is active with the Odebolt
Rotary.
The couple's busy lives are kept even busier
with their three children. Tonya lives and works in Carroll,
Iowa. Riley, a high school student at WLVA, is active in
football, basketball, and golf. Musically, he plays trombone
and baritone in band and jazz band, and participates in choral groups,
musicals, and church choir. He is also active in speech and LYF. Molly will be a freshman at WLVA and is active in
volleyball, USA Volleyball, basketball, track, softball, and plays
piano in jazz band and saxophone in band. |
