O-A Musicians "Rock" at State Solo and Ensemble Contest!

Saturday, March 27th, approximately thirty Odebolt-Arthur high school musicians traveled to Pomeroy with their directors and accompanists to participate in this year's state solo and small ensemble contest. It was a long day but a very successful one for our participants. All nineteen of the vocal entries came home with I (superior) ratings and one vocal group was awarded an outstanding performance award for their center for the day. The band students also came away with great ratings. Eleven band entries received I (superior) ratings-three of which were perfect scores- and four II (excellent) ratings!

All participants owe a big THANKS to accompanists Roby Larson, Kay Bloyer and Laurie Currie who spent many hours rehearsing with them.
