CLASS OF 1936 - 70th
Year Class Reunion - The OHS Class of 1936 had their
70 year reunion on Wednesday, May 24th at the local cafe. Eight members
of the original 43 were in attendance.

2001 - The Odebolt-Arthur Class of
2001 held their 5 year Class Reunion at Herby's Bar and Grill, 7
p.m., on June 17, 2006.

2005 CREEK DAYS AND ALL-SCHOOL REUNION
The All-School
Reunion was held on Friday Night, June 17, 2005, at the Odebolt-Arthur
High School with approx. 350 alumni & guests present. Guests enjoyed a
delicious catered meal by Lidderdale Country Store in the multi-purpose room,
followed by a program in the Bart Ogden Gym at Odebolt-Arthur Community
Schools. Jeff McDonough was the emcee for the night, telling
hilarious stories from the past.
Mayor Ron Rex welcomed everyone to Odebolt and then
presented two Community Service Awards to Barb Horak and Bonnie Ekse for
the Odebolt website and other projects the women have completed.
The O-A Alumni Band, conducted by Chuck Mandernach
(Class of 1955), performed the two school songs with
about 7 members present. The band was composed of: Flute: Marla
Raasch '9?, Polly Loger Raasch '65, and Jayne Lashier Harter '66; Alto
Saxophone: Megan Raasch '00; Trumpet: Mike Peterson '69 and Mindy
Lorenzen Miller '99; French Horn - Bonnie Girvan Ekse '64; and Trombone:
Laurie Lorenzen Currie '73.
The Oldest Registered Alumni award was given to
Marjorie (Godbersen) Thayer (Class of 1935). The Class of 1955
received the award of "Class with the Most Present". Gary Johnson, class of
1964, entertained the crowd
with songs of past and present with voice, guitar and keyboard - very much enjoyed by all!
Howard Hustedt gave a speech on the new community
center and also sang "Sweet Odebolt" with Gary Johnson, to end the
program.
Following the program was the gym floor auction with
Auctioneer, Dave Wilken. The auction brought in over
$2,200.00 towards the new flooring and bleachers that will be installed
this summer in the Bart Ogden gym. Two Trojan heads, two O-A logos, the
center circle, and a three-point line corner from the old gym floor were
auctioned off. In addition one-foot sections of the old floor were
for sale for $10 each. {There are still approximately 25 squares of the gym
floor left at this time. They can be purchased for $10
each. Contact Carol Auen at the school for information.

Many alums gathered at the Community Center or at
Herby's Bar and Grill after the program to talk and renew memories.

We, the Odebolt-Arthur Class of 1964 and our spouses,
gathered on the evening of June 18 for our 41st year reunion at the
Prairie Pedlar north of Odebolt. We enjoyed a picnic at the country
school house, then strolled through the Prairie Pedlar's lovely themed
gardens. We capped off the evening in the school house, telling
hilarious stories of our school years--mostly escapades outside of
school--and laughing until we ached. We had a great time, and we'll meet
again the same weekend as the next all-school reunion. Watch The
Chronicle and the alumni page on www.odebolt.net for the announcement of
our next reunion, because we won't send correspondence!
Coming soon: a fairly detailed list of how we planned
our meal and ordered all the food locally. Learn from our experience!
You won't have our baked beans, though. They were prepared by one of our
moms from a secret family recipe, and they were out of this world!

Class of 1950
The
Odebolt-Arthur Class of 1950 celebrated their 55th class reunion at the
Spring Lake Country Club on Saturday evening, June 18th. Class members
present were, left to right, front row: Don Petersen, Jack Gunderson,
Sidney Nelson, Ronald Rex, Lyle Konrady, Charles Gunderson, Howard
Hoefling and George Hummel. Back row: Irvin Stehr, Lois Schaefer Bauer,
JoAnn Bye Scott, Joan Wilken Petersen, James Barkley, Joan Kies
Petersen, Margie Bengford Jennett, Verna Mae Tiefenthaler Schwaller,
Ruther Kessler Youngren and Tom Bengford.
Ruth Youngren and Ron Rex made the arrangements, Jim
Barkley served as master of ceremonies, and notes from several
classmates were read. A good time was had by all classmates and

Odebolt High School Class of 1945 - On
Friday, September 9th members of the graduating class of 1945 from
Odebolt High School met for a 60th class reunion. They toured the
Odebolt Community Building before sitting down to a delicious dinner
catered by Sheila from the Arthur Café.
Saturday morning members attended a lovely brunch
served at the Hattie Grace Boarding House.
The class members voted to give a monetary gift to the Community
Building Fund to purchase tables and chairs.
**CLASS OF 1942 celebrated their
class reunion this summer.

The Odebolt High School Class of 1940 held its 65-year
reunion Saturday evening, June 17th at Caroll's Kitchen during the 2005
Odebolt Creek Days weekend. Pictured are 15 of the members who were
present. Pauline (Blum) Dublinski and Clement Bauer were also present
but not pictured. The class claims to be the "most religious" class,
with one priest and two Presbyterian ministers among the members. They
also claim, with a chuckle, that this kept the class out of trouble.
An additional photo from Class Member, Chuck Hanson,
includes Clement Bauer and Pauline (Blum) Dublinski, who were not in the
above photo.
