Odebolt Museum The museum is located on the corner of 2nd and Maple Streets in downtown
Odebolt. Displays feature military history, 1900's kitchen, a
barbershop, hospital equipment, school memorabilia, music section,
many local artifacts, as well as historical items and photos from
Odebolt's past. Open by appointment. Call (712) 668-4377, 668-4234

Monument Circle Located at the intersection
of 2nd and Main Streets, the monument was donated around 1923 by W.P.
Adams as a memorial to those who served their country in World War I.
During Odebolt's Centennial in June 1977, a time capsule weighing 240 lbs
was buried on the west end of the Monument, to be reopened in 2077.

The Bank Building Located on Main Street
between 1st and 2nd Streets, across from the Monument Circle, is Odebolt's
historic bank. Built as the First National Bank by W.P. Adams of
"Adams Ranch" fame in 1915, the bank remains in nearly original
condition. Odebolt State Bank was in operation in this
beautiful building from 1967 to the end of 2007. In 2008 it became a
branch of First State Bank of Ida Grove. First State restored the building to its original condition in 2008. (Read more)

Public Library The Library offers a large selection of adult and
children's' books, books on tape, videos, DVD's, computer games, several
public computers, Internet access and a microfilm reader. Large room

Peterson
Pioneer Home View late 19th-century rural living in the first house
built in Odebolt. The dwelling has been restored and furnished with
antiques of the 1800s. The Peterson Pioneer Home is located in the 400
block on South Walnut Street on the East side of the street. During the
summer of 2007 it will be opened for visitors on the second Sunday
afternoon during June, July and August from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Odebolt City
Park Visit Odebolt's beautiful City Park and enjoy the shade of
the majestic trees. The park offers playground equipment for
children as well as 2 shelters, which can be reserved. Located on
Park Avenue between 5th and 6th Streets, it is only a short walk to the

Odebolt Memorial Walk Park Stroll from 2nd to 8th
Streets, along Willow Avenue and the Odebolt Creek which flows through the
town . An ongoing beautification project, the walk contains perennial
flower gardens, benches for relaxing, and Gazebos for family gatherings.
View the plaques on each sidewalk square, which were given as memorials in
remembrance of Odebolt residents of the past. The walk is lighted in the
evening, spring through fall. An RV Park is available at the corner

Stuga, Old Swedish Home A
small, one-room house originally inhabited by Swedish immigrants is
furnished with antiques and Swedish artifacts. Located behind Faith

Veterans' Memorial
Monument Located in the Odebolt Cemetery just south of town on
Des Moines Street, the monument was completed in 2003. It lists 939
veterans from the Odebolt area who served from 1900 to 2000 in WWI, WWII,
the Korean War and in Vietnam. The monument is lighted at

Odebolt Swimming Pool Located at 460
8th Street, the corner of 8th Street and Des Moines on the south edge of
town, the pool is open during the summer.
Family season passes: $75.00
Single person passes: $35.00
Daily ticket prices: $2.50 for 13 and older; $1.50 for 12 and under

Odebolt Community Center The east wall of the
community center dining area features large murals depicting scenes from
Odebolt's history, including the train depot, the Cracker Jack Company, the

Prairie Pedlar Gardens Visit the Prairie Pedlar,
a magical place in the country, located north of Odebolt.
Visit greenhouses filled with phenomenal perennials, herbs, ornamental trees &
shrubs, hanging baskets and filled containers. See the new
barn and gift shop! Free walking tours of the gardens from April
through October, or by appointment. Events, workshops, and gardening
classes; more than 50 display gardens. Located 6 miles north from
Odebolt on the M43 blacktop, then 1 mile west on 270th St. to
1609 270th Street (watch for signs).
